What's more Finnish than watching a hockey game? That's right, nothing! Except maybe sauna and salmiakki. If you are looking for local and national experiences, this is definitely one of them!
Lappeenranta’s own ice hockey team SaiPa is playing against HPK from Hämeenlinna on 24th of October and we are there of course to cheer them to victory!
The event is somewhat self-organized. You need to purchase your own ticket and find your way to the arena.
There are student priced tickets (8€) for SaiPa ice hockey games available at the Student Union office. The office is open from 10-15 on weekdays. Remember to have your student-card with you when buying the ticket; keep it with you also to the game. Tickets at the arena will be more expensive.
Those of you coming to the arena by bus will enter the arena together. Those of you coming by car/bike, try to be there when the bus arrives.
The line 1 bus leaves from University at 16:10 and goes to Kisapuisto-arena which is also the end station.
At the arena there is a security check before the entrance. Please note that you are not allowed to bring any bottles or cans with you. At the arena you can find places to buy food and drinks, a bar and a SaiPa shop.
Try to dress in yellow and black (team colours) if you can and have a great time with hockey and friends! Let’s cheer SaiPa to victory together. GO SAIPA!!
