ESN Lappeenranta presents: Pyjama Sitz Party!

This sitsit will bring together all international students and internationally-minded people of Lappeenranta for an awesome party! All you need is an open mind and a comfy pyjama costume!

The event will take place on Friday the 10th of November in Kellari (Student Union basement). Put on your PJ's and join the fun in this semi-academic dinner party including singing, eating and drinking.

WHAT IS A SITZ PARTY?

Sitz party (sitsit, sittning, sitsfest) is a traditional academic table festival originating from the Nordic countries. During a sitz party people eat, hold speeches and sing drinking songs. The party is hosted by toastmasters whose word is the law. They decide the rhythm of the event, such as timing of breaks and dining. If you don’t follow the rules, you will get a punishment. 

Sitsit is a unique tradition that you cannot miss during your stay in Lappeenranta. Experiencing Finnish student culture and singing and drinking with your new friends is what makes the party so fun!

HOW TO SIGN UP FOR THE SITZ PARTY?
Please read this carefully! 

How to enroll for the party:
1. Fill in the pre-sign up form (link available later)
2. Come pay your ticket 31.10 at 11:30-12:30 to the Student Union lobby

Pre-sign up will be opened on Monday 23.10. at 10.00 am!

Limited spots - the form will close once we have reached a certain limit of participants. 

Please note, if you sign up and did not come to pay in time, you will lose your spot.

Ticket prices 
- With ESNcard 15€ (non-alcoholic 13€)
- Without ESNcard 17€ (non-alcoholic 15€)

The party includes a meal, drinks of your choice, shots and lots of fun! 

Tickets will be sold @ Student Union lobby on:
- Tuesday 31.10. at 11:30-12:30 (only with pre-sign up!)
- Wednesday 1.11. at 11:30-12:30 (if there are extra spots left!)

DRESSCODE: Pyjama/lazy day at home

AFTER PARTY: Starting from 23 o’clock in Kellari (free entrance for everyone)

ESN Lappeenrannan sitsit ovat täällä taas, tällä kertaa teemana on pyjamabileet! Tule mukaan näyttämään kansainvälisille opiskelijoille, millaisia perinteitä suomalaiseen opiskelijakulttuuriin kuuluu ja opettamaan sitsien tapoja! Samalla tutustut uusiin ihmisiin ja pidät varmasti hauskaa.

Sitsit järjestetään perjantaina 10. marraskuuta yo-talon kellarissa. Tervetuloa mukaan :)
