Sometimes you feel like Lappeenranta is in the middle of nowhere and no one famous comes here… But not this Thursday! On 19.11 at 11-13 the very special guest will arrive to LUT’s Galleria Hall – gracefully fluffy Saimi the Seal! She’s looking for her relative, called Saimaannorppa – Saimaa Ringed Seal, extinct animal that lives only in our magnificent lake Saimaa. There’re only about 310 individuals left in the whole world! What can we do about this?
Well, to help Saimi to find fellow seals, we need to help her reach as many viewers as possible, and one of the most noticeable way nowadays is taking selfies :) So, your task is to come to Galleria Hall at right time, take a selfie or just a photo with Saimi and post it in any social network with hashtags #HelpSaimi, #SocialErasmusWeek and #THISisESN; you’re welcome to invent yours as well! Best photos will be featured on ESN Lappeenranta Facebook and Instagram pages & the winner will get exclusive #THISisFUNLAND t-shirt.
At the event you’ll be able to learn more about Saimaa Ringed Seal, WWF Finland and possible environmental dangers in Finland, as well as donate some money to Saimaa Ringed Seal foundation. Additional information and some marvellous photos can be found via the link http://www.sll.fi/
